To ensure a safe, secure, and trustworthy marketplace, Kyo Cards requires all new sellers to undergo identity verification (KYC) before listing products.
This process is implemented to:
i. Verify seller legitimacy
ii. Prevent fraudulent activities
iii. Protect buyers from scams
iv. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
All new users must complete KYC verification before they can sell on Kyo Cards.
Sellers on Kyo Cards fall into two categories, each with specific verification requirements.
a. Applies to individuals selling as private persons without a registered business.
b. Must provide valid personal identification and proof of residence.
a. Applies to legally registered businesses, including Sole Proprietorships, LLPs, and Pte Ltd entities.
b. Must provide business registration documents and proof of operational status.
All sellers must submit valid identification and supporting documents for KYC approval.
Must provide one of the following:
a. NRIC (For Singapore Citizens & PRs)
b. FIN (For Foreigners with valid Singapore residency – See Section 3.1.3 for details)
c. Singapore Driver’s License (Note: Does not show residential address – Proof of address is required separately)

If submitting a Foreign Identification Number (FIN) for verification, sellers must provide:
a. A scanned copy (front & back) of their FIN card, OR
b. A digital copy (high-quality photo or PDF) of the FIN document
i. Ensure the document is clear and fully visible.
ii. The FIN number, name, and other details must be readable.
iii. No cropped, blurred, or edited images will be accepted.
iv. Watermarked or tampered documents will be rejected.

Registered business sellers must submit the following:
Must provide one of the following:
a. NRIC (For Singaporeans & PRs)
b. FIN & Passport (For Foreigners)
a. ACRA BizFile+ (For Singapore Registered Businesses)
b. SSM (For Malaysian Registered Businesses)
c. Equivalent Documents for Other Countries
a. Latest Bank Statement of the company
b. Latest Utility Bill under Business Name
a. Must be signed by the business owner or an authorized representative.
b. Must include the company name, representative’s details, and the scope of authorization.
Since Kyo Cards is still implementing automated KYC (MyInfo API is planned for future updates), all sellers will undergo manual verification.
a. Upload Documents via the Kyo Cards Seller Portal.
b. Review by the Kyo Cards Team (Processing Time: 1-3 Business Days).
c. If approved, sellers can start listing items.
d. If rejected, sellers must resubmit the correct documents.
Kyo Cards reserves the sole discretion to approve or reject any KYC application based on its internal verification process. Submission of documents does not guarantee approval, and additional information may be requested if necessary. Failure to meet the platform’s verification requirements may result in denial of selling privileges.
Kyo Cards follows Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) to protect seller information.
a. All KYC documents will be deleted immediately after verification.
b. Data is encrypted & securely processed.
c. Kyo Cards does not share personal data with third parties.
a. All sellers must complete KYC before selling. No exceptions.
b. Kyo Cards may request additional documents if necessary.
Sellers are encouraged to check for updates as Kyo Cards transition to automated KYC.
As part of Kyo Cards’ KYC verification, all sellers must submit valid identification or business information to complete the verification process. The following steps must be followed:
Must provide one of the following:
a. Pink NRIC (For Singapore Citizens)
b. Blue PR NRIC (For Permanent Residents)
c. FIN (For Foreigners with valid Singapore residency)
The following documents are NOT valid for KYC verification:
i. Passports
ii. Driving Licenses
iii. Short-Term Visit Passes
Must provide:
a. ACRA BizFile+ (For Singapore Registered Businesses)
The following documents are NOT valid for KYC verification:
i. NRIC or FIN alone without business registration
ii. Passports
iii. Driving Licenses
iv. Short-Term Visit Passes
a. Submitted ID or business information must be valid and unexpired.
b. Expired documents will be rejected, and the seller will be required to resubmit valid documentation.
a. The information provided during registration must exactly match the information on the submitted ID or business documents.
b. Example: If the seller’s name on the submitted ID is Daniel Ong Jun Yi, the same full name must be entered into the system without modifications, abbreviations, or misspellings.
